My Holiday Stitch Fix

You may know that we have ten amazing children in this house, so you can imagine that the holidays are filled with quite a bit of fun and chaos....and boxes! Lots and lots of boxes! So when Stitch Fix emailed to offer to send me a holiday Fix, I thought I might enjoy receiving a box in the December mail that was actually for me! And Stitch Fix certainly delivered!

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is an online styling service and fashion retailer. You pay just $20 for a styling fee that can later be applied to the purchase of your clothes. You are assigned your own personal stylist who will hand pick items just for you according to the answers of a questionnaire and notes from you. About 3 weeks later, you will receive your Stitch Fix box which will include instructions, a note from your stylist, and a postage paid envelope to return any unwanted items. If you keep all five items, you receive a 25% discount.

My December Fix

Alice Blue Corren Pleated Front Blouse $58

Out of all the items in the box, I think this top may be the most flattering on me. I have two other tops that are similar in style. (It reminds me a lot of my 41Hawthorne blouse from my 2nd Fix.) But there were so many details about it that I really loved...I actually really like tabbed sleeves -is that weird?-, the pleats are really pretty and interesting, and I looooove this neckline. This one is a keeper and I think I'll wear it often.

41Hawthorne Kenny Faux Leather Trim Open Cardigan $88
Bancroft Joolie Hammered Circle Necklace $34

So, my favorite Charlie Brown character is Linus. I can so relate to him. I love my blanket. It's fluffy and comfortable and I'm not kidding, I feel joy when I climb into bed and snuggle up under my blanket. I tell you all of this, because this sweater makes me feel like I am wearing my blanket. The yarn of this fabric is not scratchy at all...it's smooth, almost silky. While I don't feel it's the most flattering look for me, this sweater is so comfortable and so warm, I have no doubt that it will get the most use from my closet. Plus, my 13 year old begged me to keep it. Even though she's a much smaller frame than me, it looked adorable on her and she loved the feel of it too.

I was a little uncertain about the necklace at first, but it looked so cute in the photos with my blue top that I decided it was a good keep too.

Daniel Rainn Acarda V-neck Blouse $68
Kut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean $78

When I opened the box my eyes were immediately drawn to the Acarda Blouse. I absolutely adore the colors of this top. The back has some really fun details that I like and I know I'll get as much wear out of it in our humid summers as I did my Papermoon Blouse last summer. I haven't had a chance to play with it much, but I think I can pair it with some sweaters in my closet and wear it before summer gets here too.

Of course, my favorite part of Stitch Fix is how they customize each order. I told my stylist that I had been on the hunt for a good pair of boyfriend jeans. Every Stitch Fix box includes a note from your stylist, and in my note she assured me she was sending their best selling pair! I really do love them. They are so comfortable and fit perfectly. They were the first item that I tore the tags off of and I've worn them at least three time since getting them last week. Please don't judge me.

This was my second home run with Stitch Fix and considering I've only received four boxes from them, I have to say that's outstanding odds! I highly recommend giving Stitch Fix a try. Again you only pay a $20 styling fee and can send back anything you don't want - no shipping charge! If you sign up through my referral link, I do receive a referral credit and I absolutely appreciate it!! :)
