Undaunted, A6 left her tooth out once again. When she awoke this morning she found this under her pillow:
It was a letter from Tooth Fairy Headquarters! And this is what it read:
Dear A6,
It is with utmost regret that I am writing you this letter. You may know that at T.F.H. (Tooth Fairy Headquarters), we have hundreds of fairies working around the clock to gather teeth and disperse payment to little boys and girls all around the world. While we try very hard to make no mistakes, occasionally we do.
Last night at approximately 1:32 a.m. a T.F.I.T. (Tooth Fairy in Training) arrived at your household to collect a tooth from you and give you your payment. You must know that it is a cardinal rule that we fairies can NEVER be seen, As the T.F.I.T. quietly slipped into your room, he deposited your payment quickly into the bag you left under your pillow. But as he reached into the bag to retrieve your tooth, he heard a baby's cry. As you can imagine, he became quite frightened at the prospect of being seen and rushed out the window! (We fairies can move in and out of windows without them being open.)
I took it upon myself, as president of T.F.H., to deliver this letter of apology to you myself. We fairies consider it a great honor to serve our Lord God to the best of our ability by bringing joy to His most precious - little children. We must do our job well. Plus, we need your teeth! They are most important to the fairies! Why, you ask? Well, that is a fairy secret. But maybe I can arrange to write the your family another letter the next time I visit. After all you have many kids in your family...and many kids mean many teeth!

What a sweet thing!! I can't remember how many times I forgot about TF duties, and fell asleep. (not so much with the older kids, but few times with the younger 2) I wish I had thought to write a sweet letter from TFHQ :) I just told them the TF was probably busy, and would get to thier bedrooms the next night.

What a great letter! I bet she was excited to find it. :) I have to agree with the first comment...we've never gotten so creative when we've messed up(forgotten!). :)

While we try very hard to make no mistakes, usually, for your house, we do.
Last night at approximately 1:32 a.m. a T.F.I.T. (Tooth Fairy in Training) got confused, since she is so new at this, that your last name is Christmas and assumed Santa would deliver your payment. We know this happens 95% of the time at your house, but the bi-laws are clear that we should have nothing to do with Christmas. This usually confuses the new trainees. By the time we clear things up with them, you have awoken to find your tooth still under your pillow.
Now you may wonder why your big brothers are telling you to look under your pillow again or look under the bed. That is because by the time our T.F.I.T. has woken up to realize the mistake, she rushes in so quickly you cannot see her hide your money somewhere nearby. This is also why the big money shows up. Her guilt makes her double the amount usually given to help make up for it. If you can’t find it, I’m sure your big brothers will tell you to ask your mom. She has the gift of finding the money when no one else can.
